Computer goods from import duty is reduced to 2%

The Foreign Trade Chamber ( Camex ) reduced to 2% the rates of import duty levied on 22 computer goods and telecommunications and on several capital goods, all provided ex-tariff .

The decision consists of two resolutions published in the Official Gazette (DOU ) on Wednesday , 27. The duration of the benefit goes to 31 December 2017 for the two product groups.

Camex also revoked two former tariff – compressors elements and milling CAD / CAM , falling within 8414.80.12 and 8459.61.00 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature ( NCM ) , respectively.

Thus , these products are again taxed with the original import tariffs , both 14%. The cancellation of the incentive for milling will only take place from 1 March.
